Catalog description

This course explores crisis intervention theories, strategies, and techniques with a focus on suicide prevention. Students will learn about risk factors, early detection, crisis assessment, evidence-based intervention models, and ethical considerations. Training includes suicide prevention models such as QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and the use of screening tools for identifying at-risk individuals. Case studies, role-playing exercises, and discussions will enhance practical learning. Prereq.: None.
