Topics include drilling rig systems, drilling fluids, wellbore hydraulics, casing and cementing design, directional drilling, completion methods, safety practices, and environmental considerations. Permission of instructor required. Prereq.: C or better in CHEN 1501 and ( MATH 1571 or MATH 1571H ) and ( PHYS 1501 or PHYS 2610 ).
