An advanced biochemistry laboratory-based course centered on enzyme purification and characterization techniques. Lecture discussions highlight protein chemistry, covering both the theoretical foundations and the practical applications of protein purification and analysis methods. The course places a strong emphasis on developing scientific writing skills essential for clearly communicating research findings. One hour lecture, six hours lab. Prereq.: CHEM 3785 or equivalent and CHEM 3785L or equivalent.
