The influential artists, movements, and motivating theories will be covered against a backdrop of world events. Primary emphasis is placed upon French Impressionism, German Expressionism, Fauvism, Surrealism, and American Abstract Expressionism. Prereq.: ART 1542 or permission of instructor.
