Catalog description

This course is a survey of the arts of the global 20th century. Major monuments of Modernism and Post-Modernism are considered. This course treats a range of artistic media in their historical and cultural contexts and requires students to think critically about the role art played in the era leading up to our own. A 1500 level art history course is recommended but not required. 3.0 s.h. Prereq.: ENGL 1550 or permission of the instructor.
