This course provides students with fundamental knowledge and hands-on skills in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), commonly known as stick welding, processes. Emphasis is placed on producing code-quality welds that meet American Welding Society (AWS) Structural Welding Code specifications. Prerequisites: Must be in the Welding Technology program or have approval from department chair.
