This course serves as an applied approach to using business and management tools needed to function in small businesses in animal related industries. Course content includes basic bookkeeping, insurance, tax planning, marketing, advertising, personnel management and effective decision-making. The principles covered apply to equine, dairy and small animal businesses. Prerequisite: BUS 110.
