Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive foundation for understanding how organizations create, manage, and scale technology-driven innovation. Students examine how technological change reshapes competitive dynamics, operating models, and organizational structures in both established corporations and emerging ventures. The course integrates strategic frameworks for aligning technology with business objectives, managing innovation portfolios, assessing technological trends and disruptions, and navigating digital transformation. Emphasis is placed on leading multidisciplinary technology teams, designing processes and cultures that support continuous innovation, interpreting market and regulatory forces, and evaluating when to build, buy, or partner to deploy new technologies effectively. By the end of the course, students will be able to develop informed, actionable technology strategies that support organizational growth, strengthen competitiveness, and guide successful innovation execution.
