Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the dynamic field of global business. CEO-s and entrepreneurs alike are subject to economic, financial, labor, technology, legal and regulatory forces as well as shifts in the geopolitical and social landscape. This course starts by developing a grounding of the firm and what firms do, and then delves into the impact of these factors on industries and firm-level operations. Students will bring economic and management frameworks into practice through case studies across tech industries, tech services, and the sectors that they support. In addition, students will grapple with leadership issues such as policy, process, legal and regulatory, culture, and ethical decision making.
