This course introduces students to the Hebrew language used by the Tannaim and Amoraim, in Eretz Israel and in Babylonia, from the first through the sixth centuries CE, through careful reading of primary texts in their best manuscripts. Equivalent course: BIB 6002 effective through Fall 2020.
