Catalog description
This course will focus on further developing conceptual understanding, application, and analytical skills necessary for group work practice in both clinical and other settings. The various approaches of group work, including therapy groups, psychodynamic, psychodrama, and cognitive behavioral groups will be addressed. This course will place emphasis on understanding contemporary issues and challenges within the field of group work. Evidence based models, ethical practice and group work research will be infused throughout the course. Restriction(s): For DSW students only.
