Advanced Practicum I

Catalog description

This is the first of a two-semester, sequenced course designed to provide students with supervised, advanced practice experience at a social service agency or organization. Students complete 600 hours in the agency or organization setting across two semesters ( SWK 6535 and SWK 6536 ). Each student receives a minimum of one hour of weekly, individual practicum instruction from an MSW-level social worker. Prerequisite(s): SWK 6004 , SWK 6100 , SWK 6135 , SWK 6201 , SWK 6402 and SWK 6532 ; and SWK 6132 may be taken as prerequisite or corequisite or SWK 6133 ; or ACC (advanced standing).
