Catalog description

This course explores the various faith approaches to the issues that accompany us as we age. How do we approach transitions in body and soul, ritual, mental health and the dynamics that surround many family related issues. Course materials and discussions consider current and traditional approaches to aging, as well as the pastoral counseling/chaplaincy related realities that often emerge. The course is built on a practical approach to the pastoral counseling/chaplaincy experiences that students bring to discussions. Restriction(s): This course is open only to students in the Interprofessional Aging and Palliative Care Certificate.
