Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the field of social inequality. Inequality is one of the main lines of inquiry in sociology and is an extremely timely topic, given the current political and social climate in the United States. Students will explore the basic features of inequality in the U.S. through classic and contemporary readings on class, race and gender.
