Catalog description

Examines issues in modern psychology that confront both laymen and professionals in the modern United States from a point of view that allows students to better understand their causes. Topics are chosen from among homelessness in the urban United States; the effects of early full time day care; substance abuse; domestic violence; child molestation; mental health care versus managed health care. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 2100 and PSYC 2414 .
