Catalog description
The course is designed to provide first year clinical psychology (Psy. D.) graduate students with an introduction to the practice of psychotherapy. The basic skills that they are exposed to and begin to work with include, but are not limited to listening, reflecting, interpreting, empathy, and cross-cultural competence. This is an experiential lab in which students practice these skills by participating in role plays with each other and the instructor as well as other exercises. Previously offered as PSC 6436 or 6436L.
