Catalog description

This is a broad-based course that covers a wide range of issues confronting the professional psychologist. Ethical principles that guide professional conduct as a clinical practitioner, scientist, teacher, supervisor, and consultant are emphasized. The American Psychological Association 2002 Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, with the 2010 and 2016 amendments, serve as the core background for the class. Case examples will accompany lecture and discussion. The course is designed to expose students to the ethical questions and challenges that they will face in graduate school and in their post-graduate professional roles. Previously offered as PSC 6371 .
