Practicum in Marriage and Family Therapy II

Catalog description
This course provides second-year MFT students with the opportunity to build therapeutic experience and client contact hours via the Parnes clinic at Ferkauf. Students will continue their work with the Parnes patients/clients they were assigned in the spring and summer (please note the Parnes clinic is closed for the entire month of August). This course will run concurrently with with the MFT internship sequence. In this course students will address basic clinical tasks such as rapport building/client engagement, case conceptualization, theoretical application, treatment planning, note taking, billing, etcetera. Prerequisite(s): PFM 6942 .
