Practicum in Marriage and Family Therapy I

Catalog description

This course provides MFT students with the opportunity to transition into client contact via the Parnes clinic at Ferkauf. This is an experiential and clinical course. The Parnes clinic is a student-run psychotherapy clinic, providing an opportunity for students to begin the transition to clinical work. Clients may be seen either in-person or online through Parnes. Students will begin seeing clients late in their spring semester and throughout the summer and then throughout their entire second year of the program. Students will register for continuing sections of this course, concurrently with their internship, throughout the remainder of their time at Ferkauf.
