Number systems, functions, equations, and inequalities; algebra of polynomials, exponentials, and logarithms; analytic geometry of lines and circles; vectors, trigonometry, and complex numbers. (lecture: 3 hours; recitation: 2 hours) Prerequisite(s): two years of high school mathematics and placement by examination.
