Catalog description

The tremendous growth of online business activity has made buyers more aware of their choices and vendors conscious of the need to be 'connected' to their customers. The course reviews the practical applications of e-commerce in the marketplace today, including both customer-to-business and business-to-business interactions. Associated business models, security and firewalls protocols (authentication, encryption, SSL, X.509, LDAP), electronic payment protocols (SET, e-cash), collaboration/online catalogs, and the required network infrastructure (TCP/IP). Prerequisite(s): INF 1020 or INF1030; MAR 1001 /MAR 1001H. (Crosslisted with ENT 2255 / INF 2255 )
