Catalog description

Effective leadership is essential to navigating the complex, rapidly changing healthcare environment. Healthcare leaders must inspire diverse teams, manage organizational change, foster collaboration, ensure high-quality patient care, and address ethical and strategic challenges. This course examines leadership theories and practices within healthcare organizations, emphasizing the development of leadership competencies required to lead interdisciplinary teams, improve organizational performance, and create cultures of excellence. Through case studies, self-assessments, reflective exercises, and applied projects, students will develop the leadership skills needed to manage people, drive innovation, and lead change in hospitals, physician practices, health systems, public health organizations, and other healthcare settings.
