Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the human resource management function and related elements and activities to examine the role of the human resource professional as a strategic partner in managing todays organizations. Key functions such as recruitment, selection, development, appraisal, retention, compensation, and labor relations are examined. Emphasis is placed on employee engagement strategies and the role the human resource professional plays in creating an engaged and productive workforce as well as his/her support of other functional managers. Prerequisite(s): ENT 1020 or MAN 1020 . Crosslisted with ENT 2370 .
