Principles of Strategy will answer these two fundamental questions, providing students with skills needed for careers in strategy consulting, venture capital, finance, the startup world, and business development. Using building blocks from economics, finance and marketing, the course is grounded in a conceptual understanding of strategy, with application to real-world companies. The nature, functions, and responsibilities of management; various systems of managerial thought and decision making; formal and informal organization; systems concepts; organizational styles; control systems; organizational changes and adaptation.
