Catalog description

Graded as a Y (year) course. The 1 credit for staff members is attributed to the spring semester; board members receive 1 credit for the fall semester and 1 for the spring. In both cases, credit is given only after the spring semester with the faculty advisor's approval. This journal publishes a cross-section of articles that address a broad range of gender-based topics and that reflect diverse views on the legal topics that shape the lives of men and women. The subjects of articles include and are not limited to employment law, immigration law, health care, family law and civil rights. Recent publications have included articles on the legal implications of reproductive technology and bioengineering, rape as a war crime, and gender discrimination in insurance coverage. For additional information, see the Cardozo Student Handbook. This journal was formerly known as the Journal of Law and Gender.
