Catalog description

This seminar is the classroom component of the Entrepreneurship and Community Business Clinic. The seminar has three main goals. First, we will cover key areas of substantive law to provide a foundation for your clinic work. Second, we will engage in simulations to develop essential practice skills, including client interviewing and counseling, case planning and management, negotiation, transactional drafting, and culturally competent lawyering. Lastly, the seminar will serve as a forum to discuss practical, legal, and ethical issues that may arise as you work with your clients.
