A course about the intersect between Judaism and modern society from a policy perspective. Bringing our values to our understanding of society. Topics include: How much should a Jew feel at home in America? What should a Jewish lobbying group lobby for? Racism / Economic system/welfare / Criminal justice in America - does it need reform? Interfaith Dialogue - for what purpose and how to do it? Should rabbis tell people for whom to vote? Environmental issues.
