Catalog description

Through a study of Jewish culture from a Chinese perspective, this course will broadly compare Eastern and Western Civilizations through the lens of 1) Judaism as a component of the Judeo-Christian tradition that stands at the core of Western Civilization and 2) in comparison with the fundamentals of traditional Chinese thought as embodied in the Confucian classical texts. This course is designed primarily for qualified undergraduates seeking college credit.
