Fundamental principles of computer networking and telecommunications, including foundation communications concepts, network architectures and protocols, signaling and encoding, media, transmission techniques, local area networks, security, and management. Addresses both technical and business/managerial considerations. Students work on a network design project. Now titled as IDS 3520. Please see IDS 3520.
