Catalog description
The tremendous growth of online business activity has made buyers more aware of their choices and vendors conscious of the need to be ?connected? to their customers. The course reviews the practical applications of e-commerce in the market-place today, including both customer-to-business and business-to-business interactions. Associated business models, security and firewalls protocols (authentication, encryption, SSL, X.509, LDAP), electronic payment protocols (SET, e-cash), collaboration/online catalogs, and the required network infrastructure (TCP/IP). Now listed as IDS 2255. Previously offered as ENT/ MAR 2255 .
