Communicating Data

Catalog description

This course develops students' ability to transform complex data into clear visual narratives to inform business decision-making. Using industry-standard tools, including R, Tableau, and Python, students will combine the technical foundations of data visualization and the principles of storytelling. Emphasis is placed on data sources that provide insightful information that can convey information to various stakeholders. Through hands-on assignments and a final project, students will build visualizations and strengthen their programming skills to support data-driven managerial decisions. Prerequisite(s): IDS 5420 .
