HOL 6645
Understanding Antisemitism Before, During and After the Shoah
Yeshiva University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
This course explores the expressions of antisemitism since before the term 'antisemitism' was introduced and coined, until the present day. Its exploration of the expressions of antisemitism allows students to understand the significance of early antisemitism in understanding Nazi antisemitism and present-day global antisemitism. Research has demonstrated that framing the Holocaust within the framework of Citizenship, Human Rights or World War Two in schools does not necessarily antisemitism education. This justifies this course focusing on the nature of antisemitism education and ways that educators can address antisemitism.
