Catalog description

This course will examine Holocaust and genocide using frameworks grounded in feminist philosophy that embrace notions of intersectionality and systemic sexism. From examination of Nazi ideology in relationship to race and sex to the role of gender and violence to an examination of the significance of gender for understanding Nazi victimization and its relationship to individual experiences, students will employ feminist theories to gain a comprehensive approach to genocide and related violence.
