Catalog description
By their nature, startup ventures need to raise financing ahead of their revenues. Students will learn the details, structure and trade-offs of various forms of financing, including seed and angel financing, venture capital, venture debt, crowdsourcing, mezzanine financing, and IPOs. In addition, students will learn about valuation criteria and how to position the company for success in its fundraising. Prerequisite(s): FIN 5745 .
