Catalog description

An introductory survey of the fundamentals of financial management, financial analysis, securities markets, and personal financial planning. This course provides a general understanding of the capital markets, sources, and uses of capital, present value techniques, valuation, capital asset pricing, and capital budgeting. This course meets the Business Core requirement for the Sy Syms School of Business. Prerequisite(s): ACC 1001 or ACC 1004 ; and IDS 1015 or IDS 1020 may be taken as prerequisite or corequisite; and IDS 1131 may be taken as prerequisite or corequisite.
