Catalog description

Examines the myth of King Arthur from its origin in the Middle Ages to its later retellings in Victorian and modern literature as well as in contemporary film. Studies the changing representation of Arthurian characters, and the way this legend has been used to discuss chivalry, patriotism, romantic love, and social ideals. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1100 or ENGL 1200 .
