Catalog description

Introduction to academic argument and the thesis/claim/evidence form of essay writing, including thesis development, writing process and revision, and analytical and research methods. This course is open only to Distinguished Scholars, who substitute it for Composition and Rhetoric. Counts towards Modes of Expression requirement. Three hours of lecture plus conferences.
