Catalog description

Strategies for mathematics instruction and classroom activities with diverse student groups. Exploration of current issues and trends in mathematics education, including the role of technology. This course includes 16 hours of field work over the course of the semester any morning Monday through Friday. The student will be placed by the Clinical Fieldwork Supervisor in an appropriate classroom that meets the fieldwork requirements for the course. Required for Childhood Education Majors. Students are responsible for their own transportation; Elective for Early Childhood majors and EDUC minors.
