This course introduces the fundamentals of periodontology, including periodontal anatomy, etiology of disease, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Students will practice periodontal charting, probing, scaling, root planing, oral hygiene instruction, and interpretation of radiographs. The course emphasizes prevention, disease management, and integration with overall dental care.
