Catalog description

This block introduces foundational behavioral science principles as applied to dental practice. Students study psychological, social, and cultural determinants of health, communication skills, and behavior modification strategies. Emphasis is placed on patient-centered communication, cultural competence, health literacy, motivation, and stress management. Instruction integrates small-group discussions, case studies, and reflective exercises linking behavioral sciences to clinical care.
