Catalog description
This course studies the fundamental principles of the design and implementation of operating systems for modern computers, including the components of an operating system, and details of processes, concurrency, multithreading, CPU scheduling, synchronization, deadlocks, main and virtual memory, secondary storage, file systems, and security. Prerequisite(s): COM 1320 and COM 2113 .
