Catalog description

Biochemistry is the chemical description of biomolecules that interact in living cells and allow organisms to function. Students will use the knowledge obtained in Principles of Biochemistry to answer more advanced questions of biological nature, such as the metabolism of DNA, RNA and proteins; and discuss the cause of several diseases and conditions in human health. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1376 may be taken as a prerequisite (or corequisite with permission of instructor).
