Catalog description

This course seeks to develop the communication skills that are critical to success within any profession, especially in business related careers. All interactions in business require communications skills, whether written or oral. It is, therefore, especially important for students contemplating careers in business to develop communications skills that will enhance their career development and success. This course will provide students with an opportunity to explore, understand and practice those skills. This course is the first course in a two-course series required for all Syms students only. Students who have already taken First Year Writing (FYWR) should take the old Bus Comm course ( FYSM 1012 ).
