Introduction to scientific inquiry and basic biological techniques. Laboratory exercises demonstrate biological concepts including biochemistry of molecules, enzyme kinetics, cellular anatomy and physiology, cellular energetics and metabolism (complementary to the Principles of Biology lecture).
