Reading and Study Skills

Catalog description
This course is designed to provide a review of basic skills, reading and vocabulary strategies and study skills necessary for success in college. It focuses on literal and inferential comprehension, critical analysis and evaluation of college level text and fluency strategies. Instruction consists of lectures, exercises, individual tutorial, discussions and activities, such as reading challenging and complex texts, that enable students to become effective readers and to meet the demands of college reading.
