Catalog description
This course provides an overview of epidemiological principles and health issues related to race and health in modern U.S. society. Special emphasis is given to epidemiologic methods and perspectives in research studies examining race/ethnicity; demographic trends; mortality and life expectancy; and social, etiologic, biological, and genetic factors associated with health disparities by racial and ethnic group in the United States and in urban areas.
