Catalog description

This course will survey a range of ethical issues pertaining to the health professions. Topics to be examined typically include: professional obligations and the physician-patient relationship, abortion, euthanasia, genetic research, experimentation, and the claim to health-care. Classroom time will be devoted to discussion of philosophical essays and case scenarios concerning these topics.
