Catalog description

Professional experience rotations designed to provide experience in the delivery of pharmaceutical care as it relates to hospital and institutional pharmacy services. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist-Preceptor, the student will actively participate in drug distribution, intravenous admixture services and institutional practice management. The student will learn how these activities are interrelated and coordinated with other healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, etc.) involved with drug use throughout the institution. Participating hospitals are selected on the basis of their broad range of pharmaceutical services.
