Introduction to literary research including survey of theoretical approaches (examples: Historicism, Structuralism, Gender Studies, Reader-Response, Psychoanalytic, Race and Ethnic, Digital Humanities). Course serves as the foundation to all other advanced literature courses offered in the department. Required of all English majors and minors.
