Catalog description
A survey of African American literature from the turn of the 20th century to the present. Course provides a chronological study of the various literary texts produced during the major art and culture movements of the 20th century including the Harlem Renaissance, Realism, Naturalism and Modernism, the Black Arts Movement, and the Contemporary Period. Required of all English majors.
